NGRS WULKURAKA - LAING O'ROURKE

NGRS

The Wulkuraka NGRS Project involves the design, construction, fit out and commissioning of a dedicated rolling stock maintenance depot located at Wulkuraka - West of Brisbane, being delivered by Laing O'Rourke for Bombardier as part of the Queensland Government's New Generation Rolling Stock (NGRS) project.

PHP have been awarded the hydraulic services component of this project working with Laing O'Rourke Australia Construction Pty Ltd.

 

COOMERA SPORT AND LEISURE CENTRE - HANSEN YUNCKEN

Coomera

PHP Contractors have recently been awarded the plumbing and hydraulics scope of works on the New Coomera Sports and Leisure Centre Project which will be used as a venue of the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games. The venue has been designed to World Class competition standards with the potential for elite training and competition use. Key features of the venue include a gymnastics area, mixed use sports courts, meeting room facilities and a kiosk.

Value: $ 40 million

 

IKEA NORTH LAKES - SCENTRE

Ikea

Scentre has engaged PHP Contractors for the hydraulic services on the new Ikea Project. The 29,000m2 North Lakes store would offer the full 'Ikea shopping experience'; complete with 12,000m2 showroom and market hall, self serve warehouse and swedish food market. It would also include a 450+ seat bistro and restaurant, an internal children's play facility and 1,000 car parking spaces.

Value: $ 65 million

 

PACIFIC FAIR CINEMA REDEVELOPMENT - BUILT

Pacific Fair

As part of the $ 670 million redevelopment of Pacific Fair Shopping Centre the existing 12 traditional cinema screens will be reconfigured to feature three Gold Class Cinemas, a state-of-the-art Vmax Cinema with a   20m digital screen, stadium-style seating and seven traditional cinemas.

The new-look complex will include revamped food and beverage areas, including licensed bars.

PHP have been awarded the hydraulic services component of this project.

 

ROBINA TOWN CENTRE MARKET HALL STAGE 2B - ADCO

Robina Town Centre

The Robina Town Centre Market Hall Stage 2B project involves the construction of new multi-level carparks, retail space for Coles and specialty shops and the refurbishment of the Market Hall precinct.

PHP scope of works is to provide a fully integrated, co-ordinated and compliant hydraulic services installation.

 

CARRARA SPORTS PRECINCT - HANSEN YUNCKEN

Carrara Sports Precinct

The Carrara Sports and Leisure Centre and Northern Precinct Site Infrastructure Project is a new indoor sports facility and that will accommodate Badminton and Wrestling during the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

PHP scope of works included the provision and installation of complete systems as required to fully service the development. The extent of work includes the supply, delivery, installation, testing, commissioning and subsequent maintenance of water services, fire hydrants and hose reels, sanitary plumbing services, stormwater services and gas services.

Value: $ 112.8 million

 

MORETON BAY RAIL LINK – THIESS

Moreton Bay Rail

Thiess have been engaged by the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads (DTMR) to design and construct a new rail line between the existing stations at Petrie to the new station at Kippa-Ring.

PHP have secured the subcontract to Thiess and the Moreton Bay Rail Project for the installation and commissioning of the Hydraulic Services at five railway stations. The stations comprise Petrie, Kallangur, Murrumba Downs, Mango Hill and Mango Hill East.

The scope of works at the railway stations includes supply, delivery, installation and system integration of the Hydraulic Services at each of the five abovementioned stations.

Construction on the project has begun with trains expected to be operational on the new line in 2016.

Value: $ 680 million

 

CHRISTCHURCH BUS EXCHANGE

PHP were awarded the civil drainage package for the bus exchange with Thiess –Southbase Joint Venture.

The bus exchange is high quality facility that affords safe accessible and comfortable services, state of the art technology to provide efficiencies for buses. Airport style lounges too will provide warm safe areas separate to the bus circulation areas. The facility is planned to be operational by mid 2015

Value: $53 million (NZ)

PORT MORESBY LLOYD ROBSON OVAL - LEIGHTONS

PHP have been awarded the hydraulic services package for the redevelopment of the Lloyd Robson Oval.

The new stadium will be developed in 2 stages. Stage 1 being partial completion (15,000 seats) for the hosting of the Pacific Oceanic Games in July 2015. Stage 2 will see the stadium grow to 25,000 seat capacity for the 2016 football season.

The completed facility will be host to local and international rugby union, rugby league and soccer matches.

Value: $300 million (PGK)

VIDA APARTMENTS – DEVINE CONSTRUCTIONS

Two 12 level towers with one, two, and three bedroom luxury units and upper level penthouse units, including ground level retail spaces and a 4 levels of basement car parking, service and store areas.

PHP are contracted to Devine Constructions for the design, documentation and construction of the hydraulic services including sanitary plumbing, tradewastes, hot and cold water reticulation, gas services, and stormwater management.

Value: $ 50 million

LOGAN HOSPITAL EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT – THIESS

The Logan Hospital Expansion Project includes a range of new and refurbished facilities including:

The New Emergency Department consists of:

  • Separate adult and children's resuscitation areas for critically ill patients
  • Adult Ambulatory Care Area for patients requiring less acute services, for example, minor injuries and simple procedures such as plastering and wound care
  • Separate adult and children's acute care areas
  • Separate adult and children's short stay facilities for those requiring short term admissions
  • Specialist referral services including Early Pregnancy Assessment, Sexual Violence, Hospital in the Home, Allied Health and Emergency Mental Health
  • Dedicated security coverage 24/7
  • Exercise Stress Testing for low risk emergency cardiac patients
  • Satellite medical imaging including a new CT scanner and ultrasound facilities

The new building will also include a 34 bed paediatric ward and a 24 bed rehabilitation ward with associated day therapy and a gym. The existing emergency department will be remodelled into a new 23-hour ward with an elective surgery area including two procedure rooms.

The Project includes an expanded Children's outpatient area with an additional six new paediatric outpatient rooms and separate waiting area for children and families. As well as this, the construction of a Medical Common Room and multidisciplinary Simulation Learning Centre will provide state-of-the-art facilities for clinical staff.

These expanded children's services include a new co-located children's emergency department, a new 38 bed children's ward and increased outpatient rooms in the Outpatient Department will boost children's services for local families.

TOWNSVILLE HOSPITAL - THIESS

PHP Contractors has played a major role in the construction of the Townsville Hospital Project. Works commenced in 2009 for Stages 1, 2 & 3A which consisted of a new Emergency Department, Maternity Ward, Intensive Care Unit, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit & Theatres. Works for Stages 1, 2 & 3A were completed in 2013 with a total project value of $105 million

Building on a trusted relationship with Thiess, PHP Contractors were successfully awarded Stages 3 & 4 of the Townsville Hospital in 2011.

Stages 3 & 4 ($205M) include the construction of:

  • Central Energy Facility
  • Mortuary & Kitchen
  • Five-Storey Clinical Support Services Building
  • Three-Storey Townsville Cancer Centre
  • Pathology
  • Four Storey Clinical Ward Building
